historia ei ole ohi --- we are taught well to glorify the ones who sacrifised their lives to struggle for a better world as through ages they've been fighting for the sake of mankind, as through ages we are here in the time of free states. thus we have put an ending in the history, since 1984 the history is over. there's no changing to occur, because we believe... we believe the ones who told that presence is the ideal result of the past, the final goal of those who fought through ages... thus we go and vote for those who wrote it in their law. we obey the(ir) lar, be believe the(ir) law, we bend down on our knees against the(ir) law...of democracy but is it us using the democracy or the democracy using us? is it brought welfare for us all or the wealth for only few ones? submission adapts the presence, prays for great warriors of the past and trusts their followers - our presidents and generals. but nothing is over... until we live between the borders deying us to see our lovers, until we live in the system based on fear of being punished by the law, until we have to take weapons to our hands and kill... i/you/we refuse to cease struggle for a change thus partaking the constant creation of world. --- history is not over Since we study history, we know so much about the past – about wars and soldiers who fought there, about empires and emperors who ruled, about revolutions and rebels who struggled for a change. We admire all those heroes who did all their efforts to make this world a better place to live, who had enough courage to fight against the circumstances that were oppressing them and other people. But since we do study history, we disconnected ourselves from our own time by the belief that we live in the most advanced and perfect one, by the belief that all those heroes did their job and now we can enjoy this humane and democratic world of nowadays. But don’t we still have people being exploited or suffering famine, don’t we still have racism, sexism and other kinds of social-illnesses rooted deep in our societies? By the repartition of works and jobs of nowadays each of us has one’s own profession to relate our whole lives with. As we don’t bother ourselves with things that have nothing to do with our social role or job, seemingly we don’t bother ourselves with global and social problems that are now left for those who are specialized on this – authorities, politicians and other governmental social institutions. How much do we participate in the problem-solving process by ourselves? Voting in the elections to decide who can do it all for us might not be enough… Society as a group of people located in a particular place or as the whole population of the world consists of us. It is all of us bringing a part of ourselves for the common image of the society and as this image still includes people suffering, this means that it all comes from us – from you and me. Thus we are all responsible for our own part to bring and for the whole world that we live in. We might be either naive spectators or critical activists. The naive ones have already put the ending in the history by the belief of living in the perfect world while the critical ones perceive the existence of problems and try to solve, try to find an alternative. It might require fighting against those making decisions in the authority, but didn’t the authority of the past try to stop the rebels in their time as well? Even the small changing or attempt to do it is already making this place different. The world is being constantly changed by those who are not giving up and bringing all their courage to take the responsibility. Are you among them?
